Marilyn - Her secret ...
Marilyn's secret was that she knew the meaning of GLAMOUR.
And that has nothing to do with how fat och thin you are. It's about something else, says Pixi. Your self-esteem, perhaps. And how you respect yourself ...
But Marilyn, she didn't have tons of self-confidence. Everybody says that Marilyn didn't believe in herself. Not very much, anyway.
But Marilyn loved the camera and she knew how to dress! And Pixi, she has a theory that you can be glamorous even if you are Big! If you want.
When you are Big, you have curves and shape. And THAT is much more beautiful than the "skeleton"-ideals you'll see on the catwalks. But the problem for us Biggies with breasts, tummy, bum and hips is that it is soooo difficult to find beautiful clothes!
And have you ever thought of this?
Most of the famous fashion designers are men, and they are often homosexuals. And which ideal do they have? Not female! If you look at the bodies of their models. Where are the models breasts? And hips? No, the models, they look as young boys in their bodies ...
And have you ever thought of this?
It is much easier to get the clothes nice looking on skinny, tall, "flat" bodies. If you have curves, the cutting of the clothes is much more demanding - a skill perhaps more and more forgotten among the fashion designers ...
And Pixi, she gets angry when she goes shopping and the clothes in big sizes are cut like sheets. Straight, without any cutting at all. And the clothes hangs as bags on the body. And when Pixi says this to the shop-assistants they say: "This is what people want!"
"No way!", says Pixi. We have to buy them because you don't have any other clothes for us. And that's because your people deciding what to take in to the shops are not really good at their job!
And therefore we Biggies look even more big because we cannot find clothes that suits us!
The designer designs clothes with a young boy's body in mind, not normal female bodies with breasts, tummy, bum and hips. The purchasing people at the shops are lazy and lack imagination. The clothing companies are only thinking of their profit and sell cheap clothes using a minimum of cloth made in Third World countries by seamstresses with the lowest of the low salaries.
And then, then they blame us, the Biggies, saying that it is our fault that we cannot find beautiful clothes because our bodies are too curvy!
Like the day I wanted to buy a new bra. I went to Twilfit, a company specialised in underwear with several stores here in Stockholm. When I didn't find my size I asked for help, telling the girl at the cashier that I was looking form a bra in size 85 D.
No, she said. We don't have that big size. You'll have go somewhere (where, she didn't know) and make a special order ...
So Pixi says - Boycott Twilfit! And all other stores that are Biggies-hostile! Pixi has been doing this for over a year now!
