Lionel Richie in Stockholm!

Mem and Pixi went to see Lionel Richie's concert at Globen during the weekend.

Yes!, says Pixi. When it came on, it took him more than an hour to get on stage, the concert was soooo goood, of course! The light-show was super-duper! And he, and we, and everybody there, sang all his old super-hits - Three Times A Lady, Hello, All Night Long, Endless Love, We Are The World, Say You Say Me ... and you can listen, and see them, here. The videos are a bit outdated, but that makes them fun to watch!

But Pixi is soooo concerned about Nicole Richie, Lionel's adopted daughter who is best friend with Paris Hilton, doing the TV-series The Simple Life together with her. Nicole lost so much weight and everybody thought she had anorexia! What about Nicole's eating disorders, Lionel?

No! It's NOT anorexia! Lionel assures the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

"I stood in front of [the doctor], just like you and I now, looked him in the eyes, and I said 'Is it anorexia?' He says Nicole's weight loss is stress-related."
Lionel believes it's due to his divorce from her mother and from all the media attention his daughter gets.
"I live with the constant fear that Nicole is going to become the next Princess Diana. Just to give an example of how crazy everything has become, I always know when Nicole is on her way home because she is always followed by a helicopter and seven cars. It's harassment."

"And many times, they manipulate pictures of her. She's shown me the difference between the original and what's published in the newspaper. They make her look much worse."

"I've told her that if she wants to get into this business, she will get much attention. My mother said the same thing to me. If you don't like people and don't like attention, you shouldn't be in Hollywood. It's better to move to a more normal place like Idaho."

Or to Sweden?
"Yes, Sweden would be very good for Nicole. In fact, I want to bring Nicole to Sweden. But she is different. Places, or cities, like Stockholm doesn't exists in her world. When Nicole says that she wants to go away and disappear for a while she's thinking of going to Miami. Going there, it's like go sunbathing on Sunset Boulevard."

OK!, Pixi thinks. That girl seems to be a bit wacko-dacko! With no idea of what's good for her. Exactly as you say, Lionel!
